Which women's model fits your shoes?

The classic low cut model and the bulk packs go under sneakers, loafers and athletic shoes. The cushioned mesh model adds canvas shoes, boat shoes and dress shoes to that list. The classic and bulk packs are not cut for ballet flats or extra-low slip-ons, and the cushioned mesh model is not meant for high heels, where the edge of the sock would show.

How do the women's size ranges work?

Most women's packs come in 5 to 8 and 8 to 11. The cushioned mesh model is cut 5 to 8 and 9 to 12, the invisible liners go up to 12 to 14, and the classic model has an 11 to 14 range. If you sit between two ranges, the larger one keeps the heel in place better.

Cotton or mesh?

The classic model is a closed cotton and spandex knit. The two mesh models open up the panel over the instep and have a seamless toe. In a sneaker with a mesh upper you will feel the difference. In a leather loafer, less so.

Is the mesh in Wernies women's socks see-through?

The mesh is a looser knit on the panel over the top of the foot, not a hole. Inside a closed sneaker nobody sees it. On the pack photos you can make out its pattern against the solid heel and toe.
